Hi The gallery is increasing... but to find a species is not pratical. I suggest that there MUST be a section with a list of species in alphabetical order for families. At least for those families with over 50 photos! And links for each one... directly to the photo.. There must be a way to do this. Imagine Tachinidae: it has about 200 photos! IMagine when it will have 1000 photos... that's why I'm talking to make a list for those families with hundreds of photos. Inside each family, for those with over 500 photos, it would be good to have buttons for each letter A-B-C-D-E-. to reach quickly the genus we want to see. TAchinidae Baumhaeuria microps - link . . Cylyndromyia bicolor - link ... Nemoraea pellucida - link and so on... What do you think? |

I agree, I'm having the same problem with the Syrphidae. Joaquim Gaspar Lisboa |

I have thought about the same thing. It would make it faster (less clicking) to go to a species you know the name of. It should be possible to program that list of links as a costum page. The thumbnail view could also be more efficient with more images on lesser space, but who knows what's in store for next version of PHP-Fusion. |

The next version of PHP-Fusion will have a vastly inmproved search function, also for the photo gallery. Patience...

Warning: there are many images in gallery with incorrect placement (no respect for alphabetical order). For example, Trichopoda pennipes (3) appears now BEFORE Trichopoda pennipes(1) and (2), even before other genus.. There are more cases. Use this thread to report misplacement of the photos. Otherwise, one day the gallery will be a mess. Or is it possible to fix it out once time, with some tool available by php-fusion?..

You can just send me a PM and I will correct it, like I now did for Trichopoda. No need to clutter the forum with that.
