Hi there, First post on this forum. I live in Southwestern France and found this tiny Chironomidae on the outside wall a few days ago. It has been identified as a member of Chironomini, but I would like to know whether we can go down to Chironomus based on this one shot. It is about 2 mm long and remained motionless for a while.
