yes to male Pollenia species. The altitiude and location is a problem because Greece has a few Pollenia that aren't found in Central Europe. Pollenia are very difficult to identify even with genitalia. The photos are not so good. Pollenia require many angles for a possibility of a group: facial keel, carina, hind tibia, basicosta, wing, marginal scutellar bristles. Note that the basicosta can be variable, thus it is merely helpful with other photos. John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
