Hi,
I am currently trying to rear Psychoda (specifically phalaenoides) and today I found larvae and pupae in my substrate. I hope someone of you can help me to identify them to the genus (or species) level, but I am also very happy if someone can identify/confirm the family.
Thank you very much!

both larva and pupa are Pychodidae, and the larva is very similar to Psychoda, but I can't identify the pupa for you.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
