Hallo I'd take that for Melangyna labiatarum. On all my pictures the thorax is not shiny at all. On Daucus carota, grassland, Sulgtal (beginning of the Alps) Switzerland 22.08.2007 Is that correct? dipdip attached the following image: [99.03Kb] Edited by dipdip on 22-08-2007 16:53 |

Yes, a female of Melangyna. It could be labiatarum, but Melanyna compositarum is very much alike. Some authors consider these two species to be a single species! Greetings, Gerard Greetings, Gerard Pennards |
