Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Halstenbek near Hamburg, at the edge of a playground near the rivulet Düpenau, uncultivated bushes around the playground; resting at a leaf of maple; Outsidephotos: kuv, 19th of July 2017. Is my idea ok? Please help to get the ID.

I changed headline (having first a wrong idea) - so I ask now with a "better" idea.
Is my second idea ok?

Looks similar to my male of thread https://diptera.i...d_id=31414 (the second species after the Thereva; at that time I now and then posted more than one fly per thread awkward). There is a lot of orange in your pictures - mine had a white-haired thorax and yellow halteres, but it might be a matter of photographic technique. So I would agree with Acrosathe annulata!

These Acrosathe's and so can only be identified by male genitalia.

But I guess annulata is the only one you might have.

So should be good.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
