Pipizella viduata is more likely.

The name P. virens was widely used for this species in northern Europe, but so far *all* specimens checked have turned out to be P. viduata at least in Sweden and Finland.

Interestingly, your fly seems to have quite pale 1st segment of fore tarsus. This usually means Pipizella certa Violovitch, a rare species, but the character is not quite 100% reliable.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
