I'm afraid it can not be Macronychia, cause at least arista is not bare

Good point !
So check the genitalia and check the back side of the hind coxa for small hairs.

Second bet is a male of Blaesoxipha, if so, will be obvious from genitalia.

Looks like Blaesoxipha (Blaesoxipha) lapidosa Pape 1994?!

Need to add that the fly has emerged from an acridid taken from the Reserve.

Confirmed to me from these and some other photos by Thomas Pape himself via email correspondence.
