Although the abdomen is very much hidden in this view, I hope someone may be able to determine family or genus.
I have no clue.

Conopidae. Melanosoma bicolor, I think.

Hi Tony, thanks a lot for your reply. I feel a little stupid for not seeing that it is a Conopidae.
According to FE there is also M. mundum present in Romania, however I haven't yet been able to find an image of this species, let alone a key that distinguises between the two. So to stay on the safe side I 'll stick to M. cf. bicolor.
