Hello Chris, I would say yes!! A male C. festivum....but!!! There is a species that looks like it, namely C. vernale, and the difference between them is that the base of femora 1 and 2 are black, where as in festivum they're not! From your picture it is not visible, do you have a picture from aside? What about the range of those two species in the UK? Greetings, Greetings, Gerard Pennards |

Hi Gerard, I have a few more (blurred) pics but they are inconclusive - one shows a darkened base to the mid-femur and another appears to show a pure yellow base to the front femur so I think this will have to be "Chrysotoxum cf. festivum"! |
