Hi,

long time from my last visit here.
i have been a lot in the field and a lot of photos (probably the majority will be seen in the winter... now is field time Smile ).
i have made this photos of an Tipula in Baile Herculane area (limestone, beach forest, ~400m). aprox 4-5 cm wingspan.
is this T.maxima?

thanks in advance,

I do not know if there are any other species in the same group in Romania, but it certainly belongs to the Tipula (Acutipula) maxima group.
