 Romania - Tipulidae, Tipula maxima?

Hi, long time from my last visit here. i have been a lot in the field and a lot of photos (probably the majority will be seen in the winter... now is field time  ).i have made this photos of an Tipula in Baile Herculane area (limestone, beach forest, ~400m). aprox 4-5 cm wingspan. is this T.maxima? thanks in advance, cosmln cosmln attached the following image:  [178.59Kb] Edited by cosmln on 25-07-2007 08:12 |

I do not know if there are any other species in the same group in Romania, but it certainly belongs to the Tipula (Acutipula) maxima group.
