 On Salix shrub, Massachusetts USA March 2016.

This is not quite like any of the American species and I wonder if it could be a European immigrant.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
