Medina sp cf, Tachinidae, Hungary, June 2007

This was a smallish Tachinid, which gave me just one shot. Nevertheless it looks quite distinctive. Hopefully not Phania funesta.

A Blondeliini, looks like Medina, but might be Erynniopsis in Hungary. Nice pic for just 1 shot ! Theo Zeegers |

Thx. If this is Medina, is this a female? Last year I posted another Medina sp cf, which appeared much slimmer.

Now that you mention it, you're right. It's bulky. However, my Erionnopsis are all very black without dusting. So best guess still is a female Medina. Not sure, though. Theo |
