Hello,

A Tachinidae found in North of France, Clairmarais, the 30 april 2016, on a Tree stump, in a deciduous forest, in a area with Gymnocheta viridis and Tachina ursina
Maybe a female Nemorilla floralis ?

Greetings,

Thomas

No.
It reminds me of Cyzenis jucunda, pretty rare.
I can't check my collection now.
Send me a PM as reminder in two weeks time.

Is the host known? With C. albicans parasitizing O. brumata I would expect C. jucunda to use a different species.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
