This two flies isn't mine, but from my friend Dmitry Gavrushin.
Unfortunely I can't help him with identification, but it seems to me that both is rather unusual, non common for me at least.
Could I ask you to help?

The first is a snail-killing fly of the genus Coremacera, possible C. marginata.
The second is a soldier fly, I think Oplodontha viridula.

Yes I'd agree the green fly is the Stratyiomyidae - Oplodotha viridula.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
