Can anyone offer an opinion on this Platypezid? Swept from woodland yesterday in the UK. It keys to Polyporvira/Kesselimyia using Chandler (2001) - the cup cell appears too long for Polyporvira, but if it is Kesselimyia it would be new to Britain - or I have gone completely wrong in the key (despite trying five times). The latter is the most likely answer to my quandary though! Images here: https://www.flick...7812154124 Edited by conopid on 21-10-2015 16:43 Nigel Jones, Shrewsbury, United Kingdom |

This is Paraplatypeza bicincta - thanks to Tony Irwin for suggesting this. Nigel Jones, Shrewsbury, United Kingdom |
