I would say: 1. Asilidae? 2. Tachinidae (Tachina fera? - Chris or Theo will confirm) 3. Syrphidae Eristalis arbustorum 4. Empis tesselata male 5. Empis tesselata female 6. Syrphidae Tropidia scita Edited by Susan R Walter on 05-06-2007 13:03 Susan |

First of all. please always add data on where (and when) the photos were taken. I will assume there are from Austria. #1 Dioctria [atricapillus] (Asilidae) #2 Tachina sp. (Tachinidae) #3 Eristalis [rupium-complex] (Syrphidae) #4-5: Empis sp., male and female (Empididae) #6 Tropidia scita Kahis |

And, please, post apparently unrelated images in separate threads (as mentioned in the Forum - Code of Conduct which you have agreed to )).

N.3 is very probably Eristalis lineata (=horticola) male. Regards Stephane. |
