Hi

* locality - Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL
* date - 2007.05.29
* size - 2 mm (very small fly)
* habitat - openland; near Mentha spp, grassfield, and with many leafhoppers
* substrate - suspensed in a grass.


Milichiidae or Chloropidae - not sure about large ocelli triangular..

Agromyzidae. Tubular structure at tip of abdomen is characteristic of most female agromyzids. Quite a number of the ones mining in grasses are blackish, I think.

Probably Agromyza. A better view of the wing venation would help.

This is female Agromyza sp., fall into groups species which mine on dicotyledonous plants. Perfect determination by pictures isn't possible. On Mentha sp. mine in Europe these species Amauromyza lamii, Am. labiatarum, Chromatomyia horticola, Napomyza scrophulariae, Phytomyza petoei, P. tetrasticha.
