I am new hereGrin. I know next to nothing about diptera and other insects, but i'd like to know what this is...i photographed this fly in Asunci?n - Paraguay, about 10 mm long.

Dolichopodidae, subfamily Sciapodinae. Unfamiliar with the south American genera, though.
