Hello everyone,

this fly was determined as Goniglossum wiedemanni, but the man, who determined the spezies wasn?t 100 % sure about it. Is it correct? Photo taken in my garden, Germany, 53572 Unkel, Rhineland-Palatinum, River Rhine Valley, 15. 05. 07.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Id is correct!
You probably have, or even photographed it on, Bryonia dioica, it's host.
