Hi, in april i was in Danube Delta and there where a lot of this large (~12mm) Bibio (i think). this was found on a wall in Sfantu Gheorghe (South of Danube Delta) in 14.april.2007. i think the yellow is from some pollen, maybe can be identified? thanks, cosmln cosmln attached the following image:  [127.22Kb] |

Hi Cosmin, you are right everywhere. It seems to be a female of Bibio marci. The flash darkened the wing a little bit too much, I guess. Theo Zeegers |
