this fly measured only about 2 mm. On maple leaf in garden (northwest Germany).

In "Entomofauna germanica" there are listed 3 species for Germany: P. berolinensis, beuki (after the owner of this forum??? Smile) and fasciata.

Yes, after the 'owner' of this forum who stumbled on the first specimens. The above probably is fasciata on account of the broadened and blackened hind metatarus.
