At least 3 different individuals in mid Sweden a few Days ago. Can they all be Urophora stylata?

Yes all U. stylata male. 2nd band can be complete (3-4) or interrupted (1-2) |

I see stings on the plant, and seems a Cirsium sp. --> a perfect place to find U. stylata

Yes, they seemed very at home in these plants. Also Tephritis cometa, but in another species of Cirsium (or Carduus). Sorry for the typo, I ment female. |
