 Hi,
Please could anyone help to id this? found last week in rural sussex uk,maybe 5mm ish...Im guessing its an empid?but i only got a dorsal view... about 15cm away facing this fly was a disco dancing rhamphomyia sulcata ...i doubt that has any significance though?.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
