Hi, i took this image last summer, it was quite a bright coloured little fly 7-9 mm. Landed on the car whilst parked in a pretty nondescript part of the countryside near Salisbury - grassy, wooded.

First impressions were that it was a dungfly, but it didn't resemble any i'd previously seen. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

Richard
