Have you tried Phania funesta? (Diptera, Tachinidae) Look for a subscutellum, then note the very silvery face and general head shape. It also has a very distinctive way of standing with its wings open, as in the pic ![]() |

Thanks Chris- found a picture and it does look exactly the same... and I was going to guess at least a Tachinid - would have got it right ![]() Brian V. |
