Grammicomyia Bigot.

Males of this genus guard oviposition sites and territories waiting for females. An uncommon behavior for micropezids, but widely difused in neriids.

Subjects: Taxonomy, Systematics, Biodiversity.
Area: Neotropical Region, Caatinga.
Families: Ctenostylidae, Cypselosomatidae, Helosciomyzidae, Micropezidae, Muscidae, Neriidae, Pseudopomyzidae, Syringogastridae, Somatiidae.
