Stictochironomus Fork in Cu is closer to wing base than R-M crossvein. That is unusual in Chironomini. |

It could be S. pictulus based on the presence of faint wing spots in addition to the prominent spot over r-m. Confirmation requires examination of male genitalia. In Scandinavia there is another species S. crassiforceps I do not know anything about. |
