Is it possible to identify this Norellisoma male? I think it could be Norellisoma striolatum but I don't have any keys that includes figures of the male genitalia of this species... Lenght is 8,6 mm from my measure. It was found in Bodø, northern Norway 16.06.2013 in low vegetation in a mixed forest area. Not striolatum according to Ozerov 2009 (I'll send you the PDF if you PM me your e-mail address). Might be N. armipes, but there are too many species where I don't know the genitalia... |

I think this could be N. armipes according to this PDF (also tried to look at the lobes at sternite 5, looks more like armipes than N. striolatum). But I think it's difficult to check these details (the fly is still in one piece). |

I contacted Andrey Ozerov today, and he confirms Norellisoma armipes. He also wrote that he separates the species Norellisoma striolatum and N. armipes on the shape of sternites 5 only. I've attached photo showing structures on sternite 5. Geir79 attached the following image: [194.21Kb] |
