I can't figure out species either. It does not match any of the Chalcosyrphus from Ontario. http://www.canaco...yrphus.htm Southern New Hampshire has similar climate to southern Ontario and is not far away. Most species in New Hampshire would also be found somewhere in Ontario. |

I'm confused because it seems to have pale bands (or large spots) on the abdomen, unlike most Chalcosyrphus. |
