Hi,

a few days a ago I took a picture of a tiny fly on one of our insect shelters. It is dark grey with red eyes and my best guess would be that it belongs to the family Agromyzidae. Is it possible to confirm or reject this guess from the picture?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), Garden, insect shelter, 09.05.2025, app. 3-4 mm

Greetings, Uli

Hi Eric,

thank you very much for the identification. There were indeed a few Osmia using that insect shelter, so this makes absolutely sense.

Greetings, Uli

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
