Can anyone identify this fly? I believe it to be a Tachinid, possibly Dexia sp. I saw it on July 20th this year just outside Apeldoorn, province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. Habitat is roadside verge with lots of flowering plants, particularly umbellifers. Thanks in advance, James jck attached the following image: [172Kb] Edited by jck on 22-08-2012 23:50 |

Dexia or Dinera but I always get confused by photos of them

Thanks for your comment - I take it that there is not much point in submitting similar photos then? James |

Hello Theo, I saw this fly several times during July and August. I have photos of it on 5 separate days between 20 July and 13 August. James |
