In January I spent some three weeks in Ethiopia on a backpacking trip. I concentrated mainly on birds, but managed to take some pics on Diptera. I observed Dipterans of around 35 families.

Does this midge belong to Macroceridae? This animal was very spectacular!

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
