On the hotel wall, attracted by the hotel's light. 6 March 2012. Elevation 1000 meters, Tuis, Costa Rica, cloud forest. ID help would be appreciated!

I don't know what this is. However, I do know what this isn't. This is not a Syrphidae. The wing venation and antennae are wrong. To me this looks like a Calyptratae fly. Greetz, Ectemnius |
