Hello, this fly is from last april from the interior Sicily. According to the Fauna Europaea there is only one Limnia species on Sicily - unguicornis. Is it this species? Hello Michael, it is not a Limnia, but seen for me like Ilione. Excluding I. albiseta, to be left after FE only I. trifaria and I. unipunctata. Then it becomes difficult. Frank |

Hello Frank, thank you for the correction. Do you know the difference between Ilione trifaria and I. unipunctata. Or is it hopeless to try to distinguish them with a photo? Michael |
