Hello everyone,

can this Lucilia be identified as a species? I found her on July 14, 2024 on the edge of a dry meadow in southwest Germany. I estimate the length to be 7 mm.

Greetings Siggi

Hi Siggi, it's rather likely a female Lucilia caesar.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
