Male Coenosia octopunctata very likely.

Yes, if you could confirm the ID, it would be interesting since the species don't seem yet recorded from Belgium.

Yes, it keys out fine to octopunctata and corresponds well with the description (scutum, spines on costa, blackish genitalia). Not only not known from Belgium, but seems absent from the Netherlands, Germany and France too ? It is from the Lagland military camp which is one of the more intact heath and bogland areas of Belgium which may explain the presence of this upland/northern species. Thanks again, Joris
