Hello, Another which I keyed to Nephrotoma scurra, this one was on 3rd July. I found it in rough grass near my home, near Lincoln UK. This is indeed Nephrotoma scurra. It is the only European Nephrotoma with the character combination: 1) Lateral stripes on thorax straight (not curved down anteriorly as in most Nephrotoma) 2) Thoracic stripes not uniformly darkbrown to black, the lateral ones with lighter coloured margins, and especially the two between the wings much lighter coloured. |
