Dear Friends, On page 27 of the volume 5 "Catalogue Palaearct. Diptera", original reference of Rhagio turcicus Lindner,1930 is given as "Konowia 9: 87". Lindner's publication has been listed in the Catalogue (vol.5) as "Beitraege zur Kenntnis einiger asiatischer Rhagioniden (Dipt.). Konowia 9: 85-88. Volumes of Konowia can be downloaded in the site Biologische Zentrum (Linz). However, in the volume 9 of Konowia, Lindner's publication mentioned doesnot exist. Instead of it, I see another publication: Bau,A., 1930, Vier neue Cuterebra-Arten aus Südamerika. (Diptera, olim Oestridae.). Konowia 9: 81- 89. Same question: Where and when the species "Rhagio turcicus Lindner" has been published? Thanks a lot. Ahmet O.Kocak |

Hi, sorry I have no idea, but there's another mistake in the Conopidae one, where there are "Myopa vaulogeri" (M. minor after Clements, 2000) and "Conops vaulogeri", but there's no "Conops vaulogeri" (confirmed by D. Clements). Regards |

Concerning the first post on Rhagio turcicus: It was published in Konowia 10, see http://www.landesmuseum.at/datenbanken/digilit/?litnr=25332.

Concerning the second post: There are several instances in the Palaearctic Catologue where species were erroneously included in the catalogue twice, once under the present classification, once under a previous (that could be the original) classification. In this case it is the present and the original classification.
