On stones by a burn (stream to you ) Size ~2mm. Scatella tenuicosta in the Gallery looks similar if not the same. The only Scatella listed for Sheland is S. stagnalis.

Parydra sp. Scatella has pubescent face, this fly with bare face with 2 facilal setae. If these setae are thick and almost equal in size - then it may be Parydra pusilla Mg. Edited by Cranefly on 14-07-2011 09:39 |
