Hello!

This rather big (8-10 mm) mosquito visited the lamp in our garden yesterday evening (Germany). Is it possible to tell the genus? Thanks!

Hello, Tony!

Ah, thanks! I remembered that genus a little bigger, but I saw mostly females. They are my special mosquitos... Most prefer to bite my girl friend, but this species seems to like my blood. And that hurts and itches for two weeks or longer :-(.
Best regards,
Jürgen

Hello, again!

When I looked through my older photos for Culiseta, I came across this one from September-01-2005. I now think this could be a male Aedes sp.. Is this correct? Thanks in advance!
