Looks like a female PHyto indeed.

Any indication of size ?

Difficult. The species of 16-10-2010 was smaller. About 6 mm. The others about 8 mm. I think !!!!

Edit. The last fly is sitting on a chestnut leaf. 8mm!!

These are probably all Phyto melanocephala. Difficult to be entirely sure from these photographs.

What helps is that melanocephala is the only Phyto reported from the Netherlands...
