Am I even correct that it's a Syrphidae?

Also, how do I attach further photos without adding to the thread? I have noticed some posts have multi photos.

Hi, Nick!

It's a male Eristalis (see the "wave" in wing venation, typical for Eristalini), most likely E. tenax.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
