Just noticed one of my French Guianan tachinids After my meeting with Monty this is now Pelecotheca sub-genus Cryptocladocera (male). The females lack the multi-fissicorn antennae but they have a strange apparatus on the end of the abdomen, like a dark, flattened tube. This genus belongs to the tribe Neominthoini, which has many genera with normal antennae.
