i search the name of these fly.
I take the photo on 31.10.2009.
Place: Ennepetal / NRW / Germany.
It is about 5 mm long.

But I guess you won`t be able to find out which species. You have to be very lucky if you have enough characteristics on the photo visible. It is a difficult, but very interesting genus.

I think, it is Medetera truncorum.
