Hi, this must be a male. I found it on a wet meadow. Antenna was broken off. Can it be determined? I think it is from subfamily Psychodinae.

It belongs to the Clytocerus ocellaris complex, I am afraid I can't identify the species as the taxonomy of these species is not yet fully resolved. If I am right, it will also have white to greyish outgrowths on the back of its head and wings clouded dark brown at crossveins and in the vain tips. Edited by Gunnar M Kvifte on 30-01-2010 01:13 |
