Found this one in the garden today...Scaptomyza pallida or Scaptomyza graminum ?

Scaptomyza graminum or S. griseola. There are subtle differences in the shape of the oviscapt (ovipositor guides) that are not visible in these pictures.

Thank you Paul....Victoria wouldn't have known. I have S.graminum listed for Shetland, but not S.griseola (which means nothing), but I thought I would mention it anyway. Regards Roger |
