This is a male Chironomid midge (Chironomini) that got glued to that yellowish substance whatever it is and as a consequence died. It does not do very much any more, but you can see the remnants of his struggle trying to get loose,

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
