Two robber flies at my balcony

Late in the evening, July 12, 2006.
I think both are of the same species.
Size: female 14mm, male 12.5mm.

Neoitamus. Based on legs colour and male genitalia I would not be surprised if it turned out to be N. socius rather than N. cyanurus, but I think someone more knowledgable on asilids should say that.

The hypopygium is clearly N. socius, Paul is right I think
