Hello
At dawn this female oviposits in a wall.
Who is it? and what can the larva feed on, except maybe fungi?

Sorry, Paul. It has no M furca on wing. It is a dendrophilous Neurigona. Sciapus lay eggs into moist sand.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
